December 3, 2019

The average yearly wage of BC construction employees has climbed to $61,784 up from $57,647 in the fall of last year. Overall BC’s construction industry accounts for 8.6% of the province’s GCP and more than 236,000 people rely on the construction industry for a pay cheque. Although the cancellation of some major projects has resulted in reducing the number of projected openings in the sector, there are still thousands of jobs expected to be unfilled over the next 10 years.
