Write a resume that gets noticed!

A first step in launching your job search is to be sure you have a résumé and cover letter that work. In the online workshop below, you will learn about the key elements of a professional resume and cover letter. You will review and evaluate these job search documents to ensure yours are effective. The workshop will guide you to collect all the documents you need to conduct a professional job search – work samples, copies of certificates, diplomas and degrees, reference letters and other documents. Finally, the workshop provides tips for applying online.

Upon completion of this workshop, you will have a solid resume and a strong cover letter, a folder with copies of all relevant documents and three prospective job opportunities.

At this point, you will be well-prepared to meet with a WorkBC Employment Placement Specialist who will assist you to identify and connect you to employers. For your convenience services are offered online, via phone or in-person.
